Mobile Console Gaming Environment

Role: As the lead industrial designer, I was responsible for  concept development, UX research / design, and production documentation resulting in a successful product launch. 
Challenge: With only two months to prep, we needed to pull together a highly refined show-quality prototype to present at e3 consumer gaming show. Without any existing competition or prior market validation, we needed to set the stage for an entirely new product category. 
Strategy: I led the development of the V1 prototype that was successfully showcased at e3. From there, the company was able to generate enough of a buzz to secure funding for the first production run. Based on feedback from e3, contextual inquiry, and user studies, I generated insight around customer needs and market validation. With a well informed design direction, we confidently moved into production and successful product launch. 
Results: GAEMS, Inc. grew to a $10M/yr. gross profit company.
